About Verónica
Warm | Bright | Relatable
Verónica Thames is a Cuban American audiobook narrator based in Nashville, TN, with over a year of experience bringing stories to life from her professional home studio. She specializes in voicing young female protagonists—characters who are tenacious, intelligent, and determined to succeed. With a bright, relatable, and occasionally sassy voice, Verónica delivers emotionally rich performances that resonate across genres and age groups.
Drawn especially to middle grade and YA fantasy, Verónica delights in stories filled with whimsy, magic, fantastical creatures, and otherworldly settings—tales that celebrate adventure, hope, and doing what’s right. She’s also deeply passionate about books that reflect the Latina experience, Cuban culture, and the impact of immigration on family history and identity. Her cultural heritage and language fluency in both Spanish and Indonesian bring authenticity and nuance to her narration.
Storytelling has always been an integral part of Verónica’s life. Her earliest memories of stories trace back to her Abuela’s kitchen table. Raised with the woods in her backyard and the ocean minutes away, she spent her childhood immersed in nature, reading, and imaginative play. During high school, she lived abroad in Southeast Asia, which sparked a lifelong curiosity about the world and its many cultures.
Now a wife and mother herself, Verónica draws from her life experiences to infuse every performance with empathy, playfulness, and heart. She is passionate about delivering unforgettable listening experiences through stories that spark emotion, inspire wonder, and leave a lasting impact.
When Verónica is not narrating, she’s most likely to be found adventuring outdoors, perfecting her stabby craftwork, or playing cozy video games while nestled in her favorite armchair.
